Introduction to GYEITI Data Dissemination Bulletin #2
The Guyana Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (GYEITI) is pleased to present Data Dissemination Bulletin #2, as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting transparency and accountability in Guyana’s extractive sector.
This bulletin focuses specifically on revenue data for Fiscal Years (FY) 2021 and 2022, providing stakeholders and the public with a clear and accessible overview of how the extractive sector contributes to Guyana’s economy.
In this edition, we highlight five key areas of analysis:

- Contributions of the extractive sector to Guyana’s economy: GDP (FY 2021 vs FY 2022)
- Contributions of the extractive sector to Guyana’s economy: Revenue (FY 2021 vs FY 2022)
- Contributions of the extractive sector to Guyana’s economy: Exports (FY 2021 vs FY 2022)
- Summary of overall contributions of the extractive sector to Guyana’s economy (FY 2021 vs FY 2022)
We also outline next steps as part of our work plan and ongoing preparations for Guyana’s upcoming EITI validation.
